The classical tale of the Little Red Hen, reimagined to music by Dr Anna Mlynek-Kalman and arranged for full participation. The playful duck, the lazy cat and mischievous dog are far too busy to help the Little Red Hen plant the seeds, water them, cut the wheat stalks, take these to the mill, grind this to flour or bake it into bread. When they smell the delicious fragrant wafts emanating from the warm loaves in the oven, they volunteer to help the Little Red Hen eat her bread. She reaped what she sowed, enjoying her delicious bread!
This call-response musical version of the classic tale is animated by the interactive presentation including: the beautiful voice of Kari Hall, the voices of the young children, fun vocal sounds, and live instrumentation all of which accompanies the beautiful bold, dynamic, illustrations hand painted in water colours by student artist Cherie Chan. This is the first book in this series.
